Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a therapy technique used to help people recover from traumatic experiences and other distressing issues. In EMDR sessions, you will focus on distressing memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation, which may involve following your therapist's hand movements, holding vibrating buzzers, or listening to alternating sounds. This process helps your brain reprocess those memories, lessening their emotional impact and allowing you to heal and move forward.

By facilitating the brain's natural healing mechanisms, EMDR helps process past traumatic experiences in a safe and controlled environment, allowing them to be integrated into their overall life experiences in a more adaptive and less distressing way. As a result, EMDR can lead to a resolution of emotional distress, a reduction in symptoms related to trauma, and a greater sense of empowerment and well-being.

EMDR therapy is an effective approach for processing stuck memories and beliefs, ultimately leading to resolution and healing.
